What is the most accurate translation app for Vietnamese?
For short practical exchanges, Google Translate and Papago are both solid for Vietnamese. For anything where tone matters — landlords, officials, negotiations — LLM tools like ChatGPT produce far more natural, polite Vietnamese because you can ask for the right register ("polite message to an older female landlord"). Accuracy problems concentrate in slang, abbreviations (ko, dc, j) and missing-diacritic text.
Does Zalo have a built-in translator?
No. As of mid-2026 Zalo offers no message translation on any platform — unlike WeChat. Workarounds are copy-paste translation, Chrome extensions that only work on chat.zalo.me in a browser, or ZaloDesk, a desktop app that translates every Zalo chat both directions automatically.
Can any app translate a phone call in Vietnam?
PSTN call translators (AI Phone, YOUS) exist but cannot dial Zalo — and in Vietnam people increasingly ignore calls from unknown numbers while answering Zalo calls.
